Dating an illegal immigrant? Ask someone for their full legal name even before meeting them? But would goog'ling help finding out someone's legal status No, you can not determine an immigrant's legal status via Google.
And it's generally a good thing that you can't. Is it okay to ask for someone to show their Driver's Licence. For one, it is easy to get a fake DL for a few bucks at every second street corner, also, a number of cities hand out I. And this dude in question probably even had a regular driver's license since he was a legal U. Besides, as a legal immigrant I am a green card holder I most certainly wouldn't show anyone my green card, my passport or my driver's license before even meeting the person.
If someone feels that they can't trust me from the very beginning, they should stay the heck away from me. Is there a better way to know someone is legal? There's no way no know other than checking their passport and their I if they are U.
If they have a green card, the card itself may not help much, because the card expires every 10 years; the green card holder's legal status, however, does not expire unless his green card gets revoked; but that rarely ever happens.
As always, people should keep their bullsh! At some point they will notice if stories don't add up. Christ on a Crutch wrote: All 50 states are allowing non-U. All those legal U. DL if they want to drive in this country and try to live in the U. No state, however, generally allows illegal immigrants to obtain a driver's license.
There are some municipalities, though, that hand out alternative I. It's relatively easy, though, to get fake documents for a few bucks, and that's what many illegals do. You might have confused those things.
